Will I be able to use my laptop on a plane?
Hi! I'm 16 and about to go to Europe for the first time on Thursday night. We have to take and 11 hour flight to Spain from Miami. I know I won't be able to get Internet on the plane but do you think I would be able to take it out and watch movies and stuff on it? Things that don't require Internet? My laptop isn't too big (It's the average size for a Toshiba computer) and I have headphones so it's not like everyone on the flight would hear what I was doing or anything. Thanks!

Answer 1 :
Yes you are able to do that, its not breaking any rules.
Answer 2 :
Yes, that is allowed. I love watching movies on my laptop during long flights... A 2-hour movie really helps time pass!
Answer 3 :
Yes . Go ahead . Enjoy :)
Answer 4 :
Yes! Although, in the beginning of takeoff, all electronics will be asked to remain off due to interference with radar signals from the control room in the plane. Usually, this happens for only 10 to 20 minutes while in flight. The flight attendant will announce when all electronics can be turned on again. Usually, some planes don't have internet access. But planes flying to foreign countries sometimes offer free Wi-Fi connections :) So yes, you CAN watch movies and perhaps surf the web. Have fun on your trip, stay safe!
Answer 5 :
Why not? Millions of people do this everyday and they don't get in trouble.
Answer 6 :
Sounds really cool, hope you have fun in Europe- I loved it when I went there. At some points, maybe just the beginning, technology may have to be off. But for the most part, you will be able to use it. The flight attendants will announce when it is/will be allowed, and/or a light over head with a technology icon will start glowing.
Answer 7 :
Yes you may use your Laptop, but only while in flight. Not on take off or landing. Im sure the flight attendant will go over the rules after you have boarded
