Answer 1 :
actually if you have a zune it will be easier than if you have an ipod. but assuming you have an all-around MP3 just plug it into your laptop. it will recognize it and give it a drive letter. C is your hard drive. D is your disc drive. it will probably assign E or F but whatever it is open it up find a file that says something like MUSIC and open that. keep going until you find your song. copy and paste it to your laptop. Buena suerte

Access my computer when abroad

Access my computer when abroad?
I have seen ways before but havent looking into much detail about it. Is there any software that allows me to access my main computer when abroad. Say for example I travel to Spain for 2 weeks. But I want to bring my laptop with me and be able to use wireless in Spain, but yet connect to my main computer back home to access files ect. Is there any good way in doing this, also wanting to access music ect. I am sure your saying why dont I just copy them to laptop before leaving, but I currently use my laptop only for work and not for fun. But when away on holidays, I would like to be able to access my main computer. Hope to hear some good methods soon. Thanks!

Answer 1 :
A good way to do this is to get a server. A server is a host that holds information that a lot of times you can access from anywhere. Sign up for Yahoo! Geocities, they provide you with an amount of room that is more than suffice for holding documents and music.
Answer 2 :
Go to http://logmein.com Download logmein to give you remote desktop control, and hamachi for remote file transfers.
Answer 3 :
if you have XP Pro on your home machine, then you can create an Remote Desktop Connection between your laptop and home machine. To my knowledge XP Home cannot be connected to with XP Home or Pro, but XP Home can connect to XP Pro. Also, if you have Vista, things changed a little. This product is built into XP so you are able to use it when needed

Can I use my Laptop on a plane

Can I use my Laptop on a plane?
I'm going to Spain next week and I wanted to know if I can use my Laptop on the plane. Thanks

Answer 1 :
Yes, under crew instructions. Electronic devices are not permitted to be used during takeoff and landing. Your laptop will most likely not be allowed to connect to the Internet (due to potential frequency issues). However, you can watch DVD's, etc.
Answer 2 :
well, when i went on a plane, people were using laptops. that was Delta airlines. also, just wanted to say that the security let me get through a knife AND a lighter without even catching them. i didnt mean to bring them but it makes me feel worse about airport security
Answer 3 :
yes, but you will not be connected to the internet, and you may need to use the computer battery power, Not all planes have power on the plane. Can not use the laptop on take off or landing, but once you get to cruising altitude, the pilot or flight attendant will let you know that it is ok for laptops use.
Answer 4 :
I think what yes.oll the persons have the posibility to use theirs computer oll in world. But some plane, have not oportunity of conection. If you have a modem you was conected alwys. Pardon formy english whrite, I am cuban man that time not estudy english. what you have good look.
Answer 5 :
Just as Leafsfan say, following the rules you won't have any problem all over the world

Answer 1 :
Yeah you need one. You can buy kits at electrical stores (the shack, brook stone). They have adapters for sale at the airports. I'm in China and they sell adapters for less than 1-2 USdollars. Have fun in EUROPE man
Answer 2 :
Yes, you will need it for europe. Here's what you need. Its not expensive but its good to think of ahead of time because they can be hard to find in stores: http://www.eforcity.com/universal-to-europe-travel-plug-adaptor-cothplugeu01.html?efprcggbadtf090605=SC+gb+cothplugeu01
Answer 3 :
Check your laptop lead, in it or as part of the plug there is a little box, and on that box there is a mention of the voltages it can run on. Most laptops can run on 100 to 240 volts, including the USA as well as Europe and most of the rest of the world. If it only has 100 to 120 you will need a converter or a new lead. Your ipod charger also has a mention like that. And it is also likely to be 100 to 240. If they do not, in either case it is likely cheaper to buy a new lead or charger that can handle both 120 and 240 volt, but you can also buy a converter. Those are more expensive and heavy to carry, so most people will want to avoid them. The plug will almost certainly need to be different from home. In Europe there are a few different ones, one for England, and one for most of continental Europe at least. You can buy those cheaply at most of the travel shops and in most electronic shops. There are universal adapters and there are also smaller adapters that are good for one kind of plug only. You do not need an expensive plug adapter, the cheap ones are good enough
