If I use the proper adaptor, is it ok to charge my U.S. purchased laptop in Spain

If I use the proper adaptor, is it ok to charge my U.S. purchased laptop in Spain?
The ac adaptor that came with the laptop says from 100-240 volts. Is there anything else I need to change on the laptop for it to work?

Answer 1 :
it will work, i had one in Iraq, worked fine.
Answer 2 :
Look carefully at the charger/adaptor. Most laptops are now able to operate at 110V to 240V 50Hz/60Hz. This will be printed on the adaptor. If not, a voltage converter will be neccessary. If you need one, check the wattage requirement on the adaptor and use a transformer step up, NOT an electronic one.
Answer 3 :
you may need a europen adaptor, i know i do when i travel to spain from the UK fergi
Answer 4 :
I just returned from Spain yesterday. I was able to use my US-purchased laptop there with the use of an international adaptor. The adaptor you mention appears to be a universal one for voltage so it should be okay to use in Spain. There is nothing else you need to change on the laptop. However, you need to check your prongs because the outlets in Spain (and in Europe) require rounded prongs instead of the flat ones for the USA.
Answer 5 :
i think it will work
Answer 6 :
dude.....all laptops sold in USA are meant to work all over the world....!!!!!!so dont worry....

Why in Madrid, Spain, you can not find an English Operating System (Vista)

Why in Madrid, Spain, you can not find an English Operating System (Vista)?
All computers, laptops, gadgets, even Norton 360, one cannot have the option of buying an English version, of any Operating System. If they are part of the Schengen Agreement, they should be open to English Idioms. Goodness! even the theathers! all in Spanish! Everything is translated to Espaƃ±ol, for heaven's sake!

Answer 1 :
Because the Operating System of any computer depends on what country it is BUILT FOR... and it has ALWAYS been that way... 25 years ago, I had the FRENCH and the SPANISH versions of DOS which I picked in those countries and the I would load them on computers of my friends in the U.S. as a practical joke on April 1st. It's a moot point, anyway, because ALL keyboards have the ASCII text characters BUILT INTO THEM... and you can access them by holding down the Alt key and typing in a 2 digit number on the NUMERIC KEYPAD... so you can't do it on a lap top, but you can type almost any language on a standard keyboard. Try holding down the alt key and key in 138 then release the alt key. You DO know that European Keyboards are PHYSICALLY different from AmeriKan keyboards, I assume. The European system is AVORAK and the AmeriKan system is QWERTY.
Answer 2 :
Everything is in Spanish because it is in Spain... If you were in Germany, I wouldn't be surprised if everything was in German

Answer 1 :
Have you inquired about broadband internet connection that are made available using USB drives. I guess you will find what you want.
Answer 2 :
No such thing as a worldwide wireless provider. You can use dial up everywhere, but you have to pay the phone charges and its slow. You can also use a satellite connection. Then you can get online in the middle of nowhere, but you need a two way manportable sattelite reciever and it cost likes 5 bucks a minute. That's what reporters on CNN do when you see them with choppy video talking to the anchors. I'd just find hotel with free internet, or a starbucks.
Answer 3 :
The only worldwide wireless provider are those who give you access in the airports. Go to http://www.jiwire.com/ http://wifinder.com/ And they will show you 'HotSpots' anywhere in the world, you can use those to access internet everywhere
