Answer 1 :
There's a difference between being addicted to anime and intruding on anther's disinterest. Look, I love anime but I wouldn't go shoving it into the face of someone who didn't care. Let your friend know, "I don't share the same interest as you. Please respect that and I'll let you have your interest

Outlet converters
Outlet converters?
I'm going on a trip to Spain next spring break. I plan on taking my digital camera and my Aunt's laptop--what should I get to convert the outlet? I've never been to Europe and I'm not sure what I need.

Answer 1 :
If you in the US you can find the converters at Wal-Mart and Target and its a set of several converters for all over the world. I got my set at Target and it was about $10 and they can be found where the luggage is sold. Good investment if you plan on traveling allot.
Answer 2 :
You will need an adapter so that the US style plug on your laptop charger will fit in the European style outlet. You can get those at Radio Shack or Best Buy. NOTE : Keep in mind that in Europe they use 220/240V AC as opposed to 110V AV in the US. So that is twice the amount of voltage. MOST (I stress MOST) laptops have what are called AutoVolt power supplies that can handle both 220 and 110V automatically. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK your power supply before you leave. The last thing you need is for the power supply to burn out and not be able to use the laptop when you are there. Same with your digital camera - IF you plan on using a battery charger that plugs into the wall outlet here in the US, do the same thing - CHECK !!! Enjoy Europe - its a beautiful continent :)
Answer 3 :
You can buy a universal converter. It has the plugs for each region. I got one for here at JFK after buying PSP's for my girls in the States. Cost about $13.
Answer 4 :
go to hardware store and ask if they have the peices to convert it

Study Abroad or... buy College stuff
Study Abroad or... buy College stuff?
Ok so i have two options. I can study at Madrid, Spain for Summer Semester. The total cost is $3000. But only for a month. Or i can use that money to buy things i need like, a laptop, and save the rest as down payment for a car. What would you guys do? @Sara: It covers everything. Plane, room, 3meals a day, and tuition. And of course our personal expenses are another budget depending on how much money we bring.

Study abroad...you have the rest of your life to buy a car, but your only in college once. Take advantage of this oppertunity while you can!!
Answer 2 :
As much as I would love to go to Spain for a summer semester, buying stuff for college is more practical and will last longer than just a month :)
Answer 3 :
What does the 3,000$ cover? If it's just the tuition, you're getting the shaft. Because the flight will be about 1,000$ and a room I'm guessing will be about 500$ a month. Your adviser should have testimonials for you or they should be able to provide the email addresses of people who've done the same program who can answer your questions to see if it's really worth it. If you're looking to learn Spanish, maybe instead go to Central or South America. It will be a lot cheaper and just as cool for things to do and places to travel. I studied abroad in Santiago, Chile for a full semester and my school's scholarships covered the tuition (which was cheaper than the local school's), so I had money leftover to travel and all that other good stuff.
Answer 4 :
Study abroad; the stuff will still be there when you get back, but once you graduate and get a job, the ability to take off and go to Spain for a month will be very rare. Plus, you can use study abroad on a resume and/or grad school application. You can't use "bought a laptop" as a resume booster.
Answer 5 :
Madrid. It will be a great experience which you will never forget. Laptops can be quite cheap especially if you can get one used, and you don't need a car, you can walk, bike, take public transport, or carpool instead

Is now the time to just turn England off
Is now the time to just turn England off?
I've got Spain playing on the TV, England playing on the laptop and they're just making me want to hurt myself. I have no idea why Glen Johnson is even in the squad, Crouch is useless tonight and Rooney is just... I don't even know :/ Loving Adam Johnson even more though. Gerrard is the one of the only ones who looks like he's really playing with heart and I haven't see Rio put a foot wrong yet. And at least Spain are up =] So, how is your team doing tonight? If they're not playing- are you enjoying the scorelines so far? =]

Answer 1 :
Montenegro are playing 4-1-4-1 formation that is like playing Anti-Football in the midfield their aim is to come out with a draw here.
Answer 2 :
As usual,England's players are running around like headless chickens.I've turned the game off and won't care what the result is.
Answer 3 :
We're drawing with Slovakia and Keane missed a peno. So things aren't the best at the minute
Answer 4 :
Rooney looks like he is hurt and spooked. Fabio has no clue. I said all along to use Joe Hart from the beginning. Now I am saying play Crouch like Spurs do and it is working. Put him as outside left and put the long cross to him and 9 times out of 10 he will head it back in the 6 yard line and voila - a goal. Why is Fabio not using a proven method? Cuz he is on a high horse and arrogant I-tie azz. On top of that Montenegro are actually really talented and the big surprise of the tournament. See what I mean 47th minute Crouch is on the right hand side of the goal where Redknapp puts him on the left and that is proven success. PLEASE NOT THAT FABIO IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE LOOKING AT THIS.......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there you see - beautiful play and cross from Gerrard and Crouch is on the near post and completely wrong-footed. If he was on the far post he would have got it and scored or put it back in for a near shot on goal. WAKE UP FABIO AND SMELL THE EXPRESSO!!!!!!!!!!! 52ND minute - Rooney makes a reckless and POINTLESS tackle and gets booked. WTF??? Rooney does not give a shite by the look of it. 57th minute - wasted free kick - good opportunity wasted. Ashley Young you gotta get better at faking a dive than that - pointless getting booked. All those part-time supporters who quit the game early - the game really picked up half way through the second half. Can't blame England entirely - Montenegro deserve to be top of the group. Overall though I am disappointed that I missed a couple of hours work instead. England were lucky. Montenegro were very unlucky not to win. They had a a fine shot hit the crossbar.
Answer 5 :
its not like ferdinand has even been tested tho? our swquad is overrated !
Answer 6 :
I'm English but I have no interest in watching it, it's the same story every time. We either smash a bottom feeder team and then all of a sudden and we're world beaters, then we draw or lose to some mediocre team and we wonder why they even bother. Things are especially bad when you've got Kevin Davies as your back up plan
