Ways to prevent international shipping theft, all advice welcomed

Ways to prevent international shipping theft, all advice welcomed?
Hi. I need to ship a MacBook Air from Nevada to Barcalona, Spain. What are some ways that I can prevent FedEx and Customs from stealing the laptop? I thought maybe if I put the Mac box in a larger box and then put that box in an even larger one. I also thought about not putting what was inside the box on the customs sheet. Any ideas? Thanks

First back up the hard drive so you don't lose your data, then just ask Fedex or USP what to do but suggest that you insure it. Fedex or UPS is not going to lose it if they have to pay the insurance claim. As for not putting the contents on the customs sheet that will only cause them to open it anyway. So might as well be honest. As for multiple boxes that will increase the cost of shipping and customs will open it any way. I would see if you can get an original shipping box to use with the foam blocks because that is what Apple found to be the most secure packing.

Hi Yasmin If you send it with FedEx, get it insured . In either case, anythng you ship with Fedex has to be signed for. So you are safe on this part. i ship every week and never had a lost. Fedex is fully insured . Just put the value and don't worry about the rest
