reinstall modem?
I have a Packard Bell Easy Note laptop and am in Spain using Tele2. I had problems connecting being told that there was no dial tone ..there was for another laptop and for the phone. I contacted Tele2 and was told to uninstall my modem,switch off the computer switch back n again and reinstall...guess what ..won´t happen! I have found that in my back up I have the modem info...does that mean the modem is somewhere there!! I really am hopeless at this and don´t know what to do help. It is a smartlink 56k modem.

go to packard bells web site and look for support and downloads and drivers, look for your model and you should be able to get the drivers for your modem there
