cashing a cheque at the bank?
I have recived a cheque from buyer and he was intrested in buying my laptop from gumtree. The buyer lives in spain and he sent me the cheque by post. He said to me that it will be better if I go to cash point and cash the cheque up because he wants to recive the laptop soon as posible. I have recived the cheque today and I didnt tell him that I got the cheque and I took the cheque to bank and the bank payed it in. The bank said it will take 7 days to cash the cheque up. I am worried that what if the cheque is fake ???/ I have not sent the laptop. Can anyone Help me out ? Thanks

Do not dispatch any goods until your bank informs you that the funds have cleared. If the cheque is drawn in a foreign currency this make take longer than usual
