Windows XP Wireless Help

Windows XP Wireless Help?
I got a laptop from a friend of mine from Spain. It is a European Asus S5000, with 40GB HDD and 512 MB. I got the laptop, and the OS was in Spanish, so I got my old copy of Windows XP Pro SP3 out of the closet and reinstalled Windows. However, where the old, original OS would run a wireless network connection, the new connection doesn't even have an option to set up a wireless network. It only tells me "Broadband or Dial-Up". I want to know if this is a problem I can solve by roaming through the XP catacombs. Besides connecting the laptop to my modem directly through Ethernet, is there a way to get the wifi connection to work again on this OS? Also, I am not technologically illiterate, I just am mainly a Mac user. :P

Youhave to find the Asus driver for the wireless card. The card may be a somewhat generic brand, and generic drivers "may" work. The driver "language" does not matter much, just search the Asus websites for the right one, or try windows update. Of course, you have to be plugged into the internet via wire to do all this
